Kejie Health Foundation is a non – profit, non-partisan, non-religious, non – governmental organization (NGO). The organization started in 2005 as a support group of people living with HIV. The organization became a community-based organisation and later registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) as an NGO with presence in Calabar municipality, Bekwarra, Yala, Ogoja and Boki Local Government Areas of Cross River State and Kwande, Ushongo, and Vandeikya Local Government Areas of Benue State. The organization is committed to sensitizing, educating and creating awareness on issues that affect women, youth and children in Nigeria.
The organization is also committed to improving the livelihood of vulnerable households through communication, information, meetings, skill building and empowerment programs. Other areas of interest are mitigation of impact of HIV in urban and rural communities by providing HIV/AIDS prevention intervention services, HIV counselling and testing, prevention of mother to child transmission (PMTCT), care and support services for people living with HIV/AIDS and vulnerable children. Kejie Health Foundation conducts advocacy visit/community mobilization to promote healthy living for vulnerable household and people living with HIV/AIDS. Kejie Health Foundation work with rural, hard to reach communities to provide services across a continuum of prevention, care and support for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS
